Funeral services were at First Street Church in Dumas TX on 25 Aug. 2021. Arrangements were with Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas.
Peggy loved God and the old gospel hymns that she sang to a perfect alto. She loved Texas Tech football, Patrick Mahomes II and the Dallas Cowboys. She works for many years alongside her husband at Ad Rem Real estate.
With God in her heart, Peggy enjoyed serving her community. She was a CASA volunteer for 12 years and won the CASA Volunteer of the year award. She was a member of the Moore County Appraisal Review Board for 6 years. Peggy was a member of the Dumas Noon Lions Club for 27 years including being the first woman president of the Dumas Noon Lions Club.
Peggy could cook and Christmases were favorite times for the whole family as she had the halls and the rest of the home fully decked for the festivities including a feast fit for royalty. She won the award for Best Cobbler in the Best Pie in the West contest sponsored by the Art Center and the Window on the Plains Museum.
