Mr. Charles Edward Moore, 69, of Columbus, MS passed away Sunday, November 27, 2022, at North Mississippi Medical Center, Tupelo, MS.

A visitation will be held Thursday, December 1, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS.

Charles was born on June 20, 1953, in Mobile, AL to the late Annie Bell Hicks and Davis Matthew Moore. He was a graduate of MUW where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree. Mr. Moore loved to travel; the Bahamas, Mexico City, ad Disney World were among his favorite destinations. He also collected rhinos from all over the world with 162 pieces in his collection. An avid reader and movie buff, he especially enjoyed The Lord of The Rings and any movie with John Wayne. He loved to play golf, enjoyed Domino's pizza, and asparagus, and smoking his pipe. He was also an Alabama fan, but spending time with his sons and grandchildren, as well as other friends and family brought him the greatest joy. In addition to his parents, Mr. Moore is preceded in death by his brother Gerald Moore, Uncle Bryant Hicks, aunts - Clauda Mae Hicks and Bonnie Pearl, and brothers-in-law Pepe del Villar and Arturo del Villar.

Mr. Moore is survived by his wife – Rosenda del Villar Moore; sons Edward (Misty) Moore and Charles Moore; grandchildren Christina (Austin) Yoakum, Bradley Moore, and Caitlyn Moore; great-grandchild Jessie Yoakum; sister Davine (Howard) Roberts; sisters-in-law Joy Moore, Nachita Torres and Dominga (Edwardo) Sanchez; and brother-in-law – Alejandro del Villar
