Karon "Beauton" Campbell, age 70, of Memphis, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2022. She was born in Leachville, AR on October 1, 1952 to Alvin Burette Gentry and Mildred Billingsley . She was preceded in death by her companion, William "Bill" Griffith, her parents and her sister, Roberta Jones.
Beauton graduated from Memphis Technical High School in 1970. She worked as a bookkeeper at Scott Street Tomato House until she retired November 15, 2018.
She leaves to cherish her memory her brother, Keland (Lynn) Gentry;her brother- in- law, DeWayne Jones; two nieces, Stacy McCommon and Renea (Scott) Edwards; six great nieces, Becca Edwards, Rachel Gentry, Victoria Gentry, Nicole (Kurt) Moore, Natalie McCommon and Avery Jones ;one great great niece, Eloise Moore; three nephews, Mike (Kerry) Jones, Shannon (Amanda) Gentry , Slade (Becca) Gentry; two great nephews, Aaron Edwards and Robert Benardini; loving friends and neighbors.
The family will receive friends on Monday, December 5, 2022 from 1 PM until 2 PM with services immediately following at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN 38122. The interment will be held at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Rd., Bartlett, TN 38133.
