David H. Klassen of New Hamburg. died Thursday, July 12 at his summer cottage in Muskoka.
Born in Russia, January 27. 1903, he came to the New Hamburg area in 1924 Mr. Klassen served with the Perth Regiment in the Second World War and was a member of Branch 31, Toronto and 532. New Hamburg, of the Royal Canadian Legion. He was predeceased by his wife in 1954. the former Minnie Rushbrook.
Four brothers and six sisters survive. A Legion service was held Friday evening at 7:30.
The funeral service was conducted Saturday afternoon July 14 at the Bruce J. Omand Funeral Home. The Rev, N.A. Keffer of Trinity Lutheran Church officiated at both services. Burial was in Riverside cemetery.
