Cecil Theodore Crutcher Sr., a lifelong resident of Anderson County, Palestine, Texas, passed into his heavenly home on Sunday afternoon, November 27, 2022.

Cecil has always know & believed in Christ Jesus as his Lord & Savior. He was raised by a God fearing mother, & his father, in his later years, came to know the Lord through the prayers & dedication of his family & loved ones. He did not fall into one denomination, but believed that all of God's creatures were created equal & would find their way to Christ in their own way & appointed time.

Born in Anderson County on 7/25/1935, Cecil was a lifelong member of our community & desired to share his talents with his fellow man. He was well known in this and surrounding areas, as a master mason & bricklayer. His ability to lay brick in a masterful way led to him participating in creating quite a few homes, churches & businesses in our town & surrounding communities.

Cecil was also known as a prolific poet & Songwriter, having created over 100 poems & songs that he shared freely with his many dedicated followers in Christ. He participated with several singing groups that traveled to the local churches, nursing homes, prisons, and other venues to share the words that God had given him. He published his writings & shared those, as well, with all who had a desire to have them. His most recent singing group was with his brother in law, Jim Orr, known as "Yesteryear".

Cecil was also known in the community actors arena as he participated in shows that were performed at the Texas theater by the PCT players. He was seen walking the boards at the Texas in the production of "1776" & "Arsenic & Old Lace" which his daughter, Terri Warren, directed. Both he & his wife Jessie were present at many of these productions as an audience member, supporting the arts in the community which he loved.

Cecil was preceded in death by his parents Cecil Hurl and Thelma Cobble Higginbotham Crutcher; his wife Jessie Lee Miller Crutcher; and his brother "Oocie" Garvis Clark Crutcher.

He is survived by his daughter Terri L. Crutcher Warren & husband Stephen; sons Ted (Cecil Theodore Crutcher Jr.) & wife Mary, Jimmy (James Dean Crutcher) & wife Cecilia, Phillip Wayne Crutcher & wife Sandy and David Jordan Crutcher & wife Melissa; sisters Mary Ann Crutcher Humphrey Willard, "Tootsie" Velma Crutcher Pharis and "Giggles" Louise Janelle Crutcher Hughes; brothers "Richard" Harold D'Wayne Crutcher and Murray Alvis Crutcher; (16) Grandchildren; (43) Great Grandchildren and (4) Great, Great Grandchildren.
