Mary helped her husband run a popular restaurant, Pete's Drive In, for many years in Centerville. She later worked at CCA in Nashville as a bookkeeper until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her husband Pete James, her daughter Sandra James Crow, and her brothers James, Bobby, Ricky, and Kenneth Underhill.
She is survived by her son Randy James of Centerville, her daughter Lisa Trabucco of Nashville, and her sister Joyce Carroll of Waynesboro, she has 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
