Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Viola Clark.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 60 years, Ralph Ellis Williams; her son, Michael G. Williams of Knoxville (Jennifer Miles); son, Mark S. Williams (Christy) of Maryville; and daughter, Rebecca R. Williams of Lebanon, PA; grandson, Ethan C. Williams of Knoxville; special friends and family.
Shirley graduated from Alcoa High School class of 1961. Shirley strongly believed in her faith, her family, her church, her neighbors, her friends, and was passionately active in each of them. Shirley absolutely adored her grandson, Ethan and being simply "Nana". She was an avid reader, gardener, landscaper, and bird watcher. Shirley was grounded in her faith and she loved her church, New Providence Primitive Baptist Church. She was a loving and selfless wife, mother, nana, and friend. She was the most thoughtful person and she was loved by all who knew her, and she will be greatly missed.
Family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 PM Sunday, December 4, 2022 at Smith Trinity Chapel with the Funeral Service to be held at 2:00 PM with Rev. Tommy Boring officiating. The Interment will follow at New Providence Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Six Mile Road, Maryville, TN 37803.
