OBITUARY for Caroll J. Alleman
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on September 3, 2022 in Delhomme Funeral Home - Scott Chapel for Caroll James Alleman, 77, who passed away on August 31, 2022.

Pastor Justin Harris will conduct the funeral services.

Inurnment will take place in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery at a later date.

Mr. Alleman, a resident of Lafayette, was the son of the late Wilfred Alleman and the former Eve Solita Guidry.
Born and raised in Mire on a farm, Caroll graduated from Rayne High School in 1963. At 21 years old, he was managing a trucking facility. Caroll left trucking and entered into oil & gas, where he worked for a couple of companies before striking out on his own. He opened Ported Tools in 2002 and was well-known for cooking his Friday lunches ("Watch out for that meatball!"). A proud Cajun who loved his French music and dancing, Caroll was the perfect host of his Mardi Gras celebrations.

"We celebrate his life now, just as much as he celebrated life with us. He was an amazing, wonderfully-kind, loving man and we are so proud to call him husband, father, and friend. He is dancing away in Heaven now with all the angels, and boy... what a celebration it must be! This world will simply never be as beautiful without your smile. We love you forever."

He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Giddings Alleman; daughter, Kim Alleman Stewart (Robert); son, Carl J. Alleman (Amy); grandson, Christopher J. "CJ" Alleman; step-daughter, Debbie Giddings Chaney (David); step-grandchildren, Logan Chaney, Madison Chaney, and Summer Gary; and brothers, Louis Alleman (Betty) and John Alleman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilfred and Solita Alleman; sisters, Birdie Guilbeau, Dacie Dugas, Grace Trahan, Masil Ray, and Lorena Dugas; brothers, Joe Alleman and Jesse Alleman; sister-in-law, Bercie Alleman; and step-daughter, Sharon Giddings Gary.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Scott on Friday, September 2, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Visiting hours will continue on Saturday, September 3, 2022 from 8:00 AM until the time of service.

Pallbearers will be Carl J. Alleman, Christopher "C.J." Alleman, Robert Stewart, Billy O'Toole, Logan Chaney, and Robert Grossie.
