Mrs. Mary Margaret Glass McVay Steveley, age 77, of Madison, Indiana entered this life on September 2, 1945 in Vincennes, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late John H. and Martha Haupt Glass. She graduated in 1963 from the Academy of the Immaculate Conception in Ferdinand, Indiana. After high school, she earned an Associate Degree in Science and Secretarial from Vincennes University in 1965. She was united in marriage to Dallas Wayne McVay on September 2, 1972 in Madison, Indiana at St. Mary Catholic Church. This happy union of twenty-nine years was blessed with daughters, Gina Elayne and Erika Lynn. She married Don Reed Steveley on October 31, 2009 in Madison, Indiana. She worked for the Social Security Administration for thirty-five years before retiring in 2000 as a CSR. She worked at River Valley Bank from 2001 to 2006 as a teller. She then worked part-time at Goody's as a clerk until her health declined. She was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church and sang in the choir and served as a Eucharistic Minister. She enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting, and painting. Mary was an avid UK fan and loved spending time with her family. Many people referred to her as the sweetest and kindest lady in Madison. She enjoyed remembering peoples birthdays and would often call and sing to them. She participated in the Daughters of Isabella and TOPS. Mary died on Thursday, November 24, 2022, at 11:21 p.m. at the Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

A LOVING FAMILY
Mary will be missed by her loving husband, Don Reed Steveley of Madison, Indiana; her loving daughters, Gina Elayne McVay Stone and her husband, Bobby of Madison, Indiana, Erika Lynn McVay Coleman and her husband C. J. of Madison, Indiana; her brother, Joseph E. Glass of St. Louis, Missouri; her sister, Trudy Conaway of Lexington, Kentucky; her grandchildren, Michael Wayne Coleman, Ondraya Irene Coleman, and Alyssa Marie Coleman; her step grandchildren, Justice "J.J." Stone, Bryce Stone, and Pyper Stone; her step great granddaughter, Daliela; her sister in law, Reba Ehlers of Madison, Indiana; her brother in law, Bob Steveley; her nephews and her nieces, Mark Glass (Naomi), Jennifer Sasse (Chris), Susie Glass, Andy Glass (Angie), John Conaway (Penni), Joey Ehlers (Jenny), Aaron Ehlers (Jennifer); her great nephews and her great nieces, MaKayla Jimenez (Christian), Elle Glass, Colin Conaway, Ethan Ehlers, Seth Ehlers, Keegan Ehlers, and Kaden Ehlers; her great great nephew, Keanu Jimenez; and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, John H. Glass, her mother, Martha Haupt Glass, her first husband, Dallas Wayne McVay, died January 13, 2001, her sister in law, Kaye Glass and her father in law and her mother in law, Willie and Irene McVay.

MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL
Funeral Mass will be conducted Friday, December 2, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., by Father Christopher A. Craig and Pastor Joey Ehlers at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 413 East Second Street in downtown Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Moffett Cemetery in Milton, Kentucky.

VISITATION
Friends may visit Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 am until 10:30 a.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.

THE ROSARY
The Rosary will be prayed on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.
