José Gumercindo Francisco de Paula Cardona Jáuregui, also known as Pancho Cardona, was a Mexican businessman, actor and theater director known for, together with his wife Virginia Fábregas, founding the Fábregas-Cardona drama company, one of the most important theater companies of Mexico in the early 20th century. With his company, he provided the educated Mexican public with almost all of the contemporary European dramaturgical production, based on well-studied translations and staging, as well as the recent work of Mexican comediographers. He was one of the main businessmen of the "Renacimiento" Theater and later owner of Viriginia Fábregas Theater in Mexico City.
