Funeral services will be Friday in the Grace Lutheran Church at Bruce with the Revs. Wayne Hjermstad and Rick Cole officiating.
Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery at Brookings.

Florence Lenning was born Feb. 23, 1925, on a farm near Bruce in Brookings County to Frederick Julius and Marie "Mary" (Casberg) Lenning. She attended the Bruce Public School and resided in Bruce during her early teen years.
She married Robert "Bob" Hintz June 5, 1943, in White. They lived on a farm northwest of White and later at Wichita Falls, Texas, and Tallahassee, Fla., while her husband was in the service. During the 1970s, the family formed a small gospel singing group called the Hintz Family, singing at retirement and nursing homes and in churches. Her husband played the guitar and the piano and sang. She played the electric organ, their son Dan played the trumpet and their daughter Kim was the vocalist and occasionally daughter Marvene and some grandchildren sang with the group.
Survivors include her husband, Robert of Brookings; her children, Marlin (Carol) Hintz of Brookings, Marcene (Russell) King of Ocala, Fla., David (Diane) Hintz of Brookings, Marvene (Don) Johnson of Arlington, Dan (fiance Annie Woodburn) Hintz of Brookings and Kim (Harley) Harms of Colman; 21 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; one brother, Stanley (Marlys) Lenning of Sioux Falls; and three sisters, Hazel (Dick) Ching of Watertown, Palma Kreger of Clear Lake and Joyce (Dale) Svennes of Brookings.
