CARROLLTON, Ky. - Mabel Louden, 91, of Carrollton died Wednesday, May 13, 2009, at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Ky.
Funeral services were Saturday, May16 at Carrollton Christian Church with Dr. Bob Brocious officiating. Burial was in the Franklinton Cemetery in Franklinton, Ky.
Tandy, Eckler, Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave. in Carrollton was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Louden was born Nov. 11, 1917, in Perry County, Ky. to the late Penelope and William Davidson.
She was a homemaker, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She was a member of the Carrollton Christian Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Carol Shelton of Carrollton; two sons, Ira Louden and Dwight Louden both of Carrollton; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, the Honorable W.J. "Jay" Louden former Kentucky 59 District State Representative; four brothers, James, Ira, Stonehinge and Elijah Davidson; three sisters, Mary Adams, Irene Archibald and Cilicia Napier.
Pallbearers were Mark Louden, Jay T. Louden, Shannon Shelton, Shawn Shelton and Jeff Arnold.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Carrollton Christian Church in care of the funeral home.
Visitation: 5:00 - 9:00 P.M. - Friday - May 15, 2009 at the Carrollton Christian Church - Carrollton, KY.
Funeral Service: 11:00 A.M. - Saturday - May 16, 2009 at the Carrollton Christian Church - Carrollton, KY.
Interment: Franklinton Cemetery - Henry County, KY.

She was born on November 11, 1917 in Perry County, KY., the daughter of the late William and Penelope Davidson. She was a homemaker and a member of the Carrollton Christian Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

Survivors include a Daughter; Carol(Bob) Shelton of Carrollton, KY., Ira (Cookie) Louden of Carrollton, KY., and Dwight (Mary) Louden also of Carrollton, KY., seven grandchildren, three step grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; the Honorable W.J."Jay" Louden former 59th District of Kentucky State Representative, four brothers; James, Ira, Stonehinge and Elijah Curtis Davidson, three sisters; Mary Adams, Irene Archibald and Cilicia Napier.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. by Dr. Bob Brocious at the Carrollton Christian Church. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 9:00 P.M., Friday evening at the church. Burial will be in the Franklinton Cemetery in Franklinton, KY.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the Carrollton Christian Church in care of the funeral home.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 16, 2009 at the Carrollton Christian Church. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 9:00 P.M., Friday, May 15, 2009 at the Carrollton Christian Church.
