EDEN Jackie "Dean" Amos, 52, of 231 Country View Rd., died Monday morning, July 14, 2003, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2003, at Spray Baptist Church in Eden with burial to follow in Ridgeview Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Amos was a native of Rockingham County. He was a member of King Memorial Baptist Church and was employed by Miller Brewing Company as a mechanic where he had worked for 25 years. Mr. Amos had also served in the North Carolina National Guard.
Surviving are wife, Karen Crowder Amos of the home; daughter, Torrie Amos of the home; son, Jeffrey Amos of the home; mother, Emma Carter Amos of Madison; mother-in-law, Pauline Crowder of Eden.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kristin Amos, father, Jackson Amos, sister, Brenda K. Amos and his brother, Gene Amos.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Fair Funeral Home and other times at the home, 231 Country View Rd. in Eden.
