Robert Blane Eldreth, Jr., 55, of Ellendale, DE, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2022. Born in Elkton, MD, on July 29, 1967, he was the son of Wanda L. Garber, Dover, DE, and Robert B. Eldreth, Sr., Elkton, MD.

Mr. Eldreth worked for Sussex County Council as a water operator. A Civil War confederate living historian, he was Captain of the 2nd Battalion, Company D, #569, and past Commander for the Sons of Confederate Veterans Mechanized Cavalry, and Commander of Mason Dixon Guards Sons of Confederate Veterans Camp 2183. He was also a lifetime member of the Volunteer Fireman's Association in Delaware.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Sherri Freer Eldreth; daughters, Amanda McDonald (Jason), North Port, FL, and Brittany Baker (David), Ellendale, DE; grandchildren, Lilley, Layla, and Justin McDonald, Tyler Eldreth, and Gary and Mya Palmer; siblings, Kristi Short, Melissa Kamanns, and Christopher Garber.

Robert was preceded in death by his brother, Jason Garber.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
