Jane Elliott Peyton married in Lancaster County, Va. in 1821, William Henry Chichester (1800-44). They resided in Fairfax County, Va. Six children were Frances Catherine (1821-62); Mary Washington (1823-63); William Valentine (1825-49); John Conway (1827-61) who married in 1860, R. Virginia Corse (c1829-61) and he died in the Civil War (CSA); Elizabeth Margaret (1830-40); and attorney Daniel McCarty Chichester (1834-97)(W&M 1853) who married (1) in 1860, Julia Sully (c1836-63), and (2) in Stafford County, Va. in 1867, his cousin, Agnes Robinson Moncure (1844-1919).
