Esperansa "Hope" Quinones Kibbie ,76, of Buda, TX, loving mother to four children, seven grandchildren, and eighteen great-grandchildren, died Saturday November 19, 2022.
Hope was born on November 29, 1945, in Elgin, TX to Feliciano Federico and Maria Avalos Quinonez.
She spent her adulthood as a caregiver working in nursing homes and then working for MHMR caring for the most vulnerable clients, whom she considered family, with the State of Texas at Travis State School and Austin State School all while raising a family. Although she retired in 2004, her role as a caregiver did not end. She was a devoted caregiver for her husband through his illnesses until his death in 2018.
Her greatest joy was spoiling and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, teaching them the many life lessons she taught her children growing up. She tried to never miss an opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments.
We do not know how we will journey on without our beloved mother, grandmother, and Wela, we will hold tight to her legacy and keep her memory alive through her stories and photos we were blessed to take throughout her life. She is now united with our father and resting in the arms of the Lord. We look forward to the day when we are all united again. We thank God every day for the virtuous woman he gave us to call Mom!
She is survived by her daughters, Marie Lane (Ricky), Rita Kibbie, Robbie E. Guzman (Eddie), Son, Robert Lyle Kibbie, Jr. (Andrea), Grandchildren, Edward Ryan Guzman, Sr., Jennifer Grimes (Colby), Amanda Clark (Spencer Sr.), Rebecca Hatchitt (Sam), Robert Anthony Guzman, Sr., Brenda Kibbie, Robert Lyle Kibbie III, Great-grandchildren, Kathrina, Ryan, Spencer Jr., Abbie, Colt, Jasper, Mia, Anthony, Harper Lou, Hannah, Seth, Joshua, Leo, David, Riley, Valerie, Maximus, Nadia.
Sisters, Nellie Reese, Rose Hanson, Betty Banda, Eloise Ramos and brother Christino Gonzalez and her many other relatives.
Hope is predeceased by her husband Robert "Bob" Lyle Kibbie, Sr., mother Maria Avalos Quinonez, father Feliciano Federico & Maria V. Quinonez, siblings; Lorenzo Quinonez, Feliciano "Fred" Quinonez, Jr., Johnny Quinonez, Lucy Ochoa, Mary Hilliard, Pearl Obando and John Gonzalez.
