Mary Louise (Rexroth) Bankson, 84, of Lincoln passed away November 21, 2022. Born April 4, 1938, in Pawnee City, Nebraska to Fred C. and Elsie (Shinn) Rexroth.
Mary worked for Montgomery Wards, Kings Food Host and Lincoln Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Clinic which she retired from after twenty-five years in 2003.
Mary was a happy member of a bunco club for over thirty-five years and a member of the Warren United Methodist Church. She was very proud to have donated well over ten gallons of blood during her lifetime. Mary was the happiest when she was with her family and friends playing games and cards. She also loved to crochet, read, feed, and watch her birds, write and send letters to her family and friends.
Family members include her daughters Kelly (Mateen) Ansari, Fullerton, CA and Alison (Howard) Tegtmeier, Lincoln, NE; grandchildren Kaylene Callicoatt, Lincoln, Marcus Tegtmeier, Austin, TX and Adam Ansari, Tustin, CA; 4 great grandchildren, and half-sister Lucille Weatherfield.
Preceded in death by her parents, daughter Kathryn Ann Leonard, half sisters and brothers Helen Iliff, Leonard Rexroth, Lee Rexroth, Melvin Rexroth, Barbara Ellen Miller, and Hazel Anderson.
Memorial Service: 10:00 a.m. Saturday (11-26-22) Roper and Sons South Lincoln Chapel, 3950 Hohensee Drive. Reception to follow.
