Mrs. Sallie Brooks died at the home of her niece, Mrs. G. W. Davis, Saturday, at the age of 78 years. The remains were buried at Olive Branch on Sunday, services being held by Rev. A. C. Davis. Mrs. Brooks's maiden name was Tanner, and she was thrice married, the last time to Mr. Calvin Brooks, who died about five years ago. She is survived by her brother, Mr. James Tanner of Hamlet, and one sister, Mrs. G. W. Allen of Anson. Mr. Davis and family desires to thank their friends and neighbors for the many acts of kindness and attention shown them during the illness and death of Mrs. Brooks.
