Raymond was born May 28, 1917 to Henry and Pauline Schmidt
Raymond married Virginia Breit in May 1938. Virginia preceded him in death Oct. 13, 1972.
He was a welder for A.O. Smith Corp. for 33 years. He as an avid bowler and captain of his Team. He loved to play baseball and was the captain of his baseball team. raymond also loved to play horseshoes. He was in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
He is survived by his son, David (Betty) Schmidt ; grandchildren, Tracy Schmidt, David Jr (Jennifer) Schmidt, Heather (Alex) Cox and Kristin Schmidt and 10 Great Granchildren.
Also Surviving is his sister Marge (Jim) Childress.
Raymond was preceded in death by his son,, Lawrence R Schmidt.
Burial in St. Jerome Cemetery.
