Buck was born March 17, 1948, to Alpha and Ethel Carter in Ranger, Texas. He graduated from Abilene High School in 1966. Buck was a lineman for Southwestern Bell for many years. Meeting Buck you quickly knew he was a good ole' Texas Boy that appreciated his roots. Born in the wrong century, Buck was very involved in the old west reenactment as a gun fighter. Buck enjoyed hunting, trail rides, the old west, and guns. He had a unique sense of humor with a heart bigger than Texas. In October of 2012 Buck met Sarah and the couple married on August 15, 2015. Above all Buck loved the Lord and his family. There will never be another Buck, they don't make them that way anymore. His family and friends will forever cherish their memories of him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alpha and Ethel Carter; his brother, Benjamin Carter; and his son, William Wayne Carter.
Buck is survived by his wife, Sarah Carter; two children, Mindy Stewart, and James Carter; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a barn full of family and even more friends.
