Jack David Corenflos, 78, of West Terre Haute died Monday, Oct. 1, 2001, in Union Hospital in Terre Haute. He was a member of Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 157 for 45 years and worked at Viking Coal Mine, Paitson Brothers True Hardware and Visqueen Film Products. He was born Feb. 28, 1923, in Terre Haute to Francois Corenflos and Flora Belle Brooks Corenflos. His first wife, Lillie Waldon Corenflos, died in 1993. Survivors include his wife Nina Schepper Couch-Corenflos; two stepsons, Kenneth F. Couch and Lonnie R. Couch; one brother, Jerry Corenflos and his wife Alice; three sisters, Ruby Hill, Doris Cartwright and her husband Robert and Carolyn Allen and her husband Terry; one sister-in-law, Virginia Corenflos; four stepgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother Robert Eugene Corenflos. He was an army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Smith Park United Methodist Church, a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 972, a lifetime member of American Legion Post 104 and and associate member of Indiana Retired Teachers Association. Services are 1 p.m. Thursday in Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Lloyd Jenkins officiating. Burial is in Roselawn Memorial Park with military services by VFW Post 972. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
