Willa Davis Mounts, 84, of Pine Bluff, was simply known as "Grandma" to so many people.
She passed away on November 18, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Willa was born on November 22, 1937 in Norman, Arkansas, daughter of Johnnie and Matilda Jane Edwards Davis. She was reared and received her early education in Norman, graduating from High School. Willa Davis married Arthur Ray Mounts April 11, 1959 in De Queen, Arkansas. Mrs. Mounts served as a homemaker for her young family and was active in the PTA and in her children's activities for many years. After her husband passed in 1979, she worked as a clerk for the Admiral Benbow, Dillard's and Walmart. Mrs. Mounts was a member of Highway 79 Church of Christ, where she taught Bible classes.
Grandma had a tender heart for anyone she felt needed her care, especially her family and extended rodeo family. She was a very supportive fan of her children and grandchildren's rodeo competitions and other activities, even loving to travel with them. Grandma was a huge fan of every young athlete she knew and was always there to cheer them on, iron their clothes or whatever they needed. She loved them all. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Survivors include son, Charles Mounts and his wife, Christie of Pine Bluff; their children, Cody Mounts and his wife, Brianna and Casey Raney and her husband, Hunter; Charles' grandchildren, Audrey Mounts, Maverick Brainard, Maysa Raney and Rossi Dee Raney; her son, Joey Mounts and his wife, LaWanda of Ozark; their children, Timothy Mounts and his wife, Lydia, Jonathan Mounts and his wife, Shyanna, Matthew Mounts, Faith Koch and her husband, Lewis, Sarah Mounts, Natalie Mounts, Angel Mounts, Bethany Mounts and Eden Mounts; Joey's grandchildren, Gideon Mounts, Emma Caroline Mounts, Dakota Mounts, Anna Belle Mounts, Raydon Mounts and Sophia Mounts; and a host of rodeo family members.
