Born in Cotesfield, NE on Feb. 4, 1927 to Danish immigrants, she was the youngest of 7 children. In 1935, during the Great Depression, the family moved to Aberdeen, Idaho to continue to farm. She graduated High School in 1945, then attended Dana College in Blair, NE. She returned to Idaho where she worked at the Idaho Typewriter Exchange and the Soil Conservation Service.
In 1955 she married Stanley Jensen of Beresford, SD and together they farmed the family homestead north of Beresford. They had three children, Deb, Barb, and Kirk who farms there today.
Deloris was proud of her Danish heritage and was an Idaho girl at heart. She loved mountains, travel, cats, butterflies, and using her Nook tablet. She was a woman of faith who believed that only God knew when her time here was done.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Jensen; her parents, George and Inger Marie Glarborg; siblings and their spouses, Earl (Ethel) Glarborg, Anna and (Bill) Adamek, Arnold Glarborg, Ellen (Alvin) Kranzler, George (Eleanor) Glarborg, an infant brother, Arnold, and sister-in law, Esther (Bill) Jenkins.
She is survived by daughters, Deb (Mark) Francis and Barb (Lance) Brady; son, Kirk (Lajean) Jensen; granddaughter, Shannon (Joe) Malone; grandsons, Ryan Brady, Matthew Francis and Alex (Abby) Francis; and her cherished great-grandson, Theo Francis. Deloris is also survived by her sister-in-law, Estelle Glarborg; a multitude of nieces and nephews, and her many friends at the Beresford Senior Center.
