Robert H. Hatch
Robert H. Hatch of 2711 South Tenth Avenue, Altoona, died at 10 o'clock Friday night, April 3, 1953, in the Altoona Hospital where he had been a patient since March 12.
He was born at New Albany Aug. 2, 1892, a son of Martin and Ella Catherine Hatch. His first wife, the former Dessa May Teeter, died Aug. 30, 1939. Mr. Hatch was a fireman at the Altoona Sanitary laundry and a veteran of service in the cavalry in World War I. He was a member of the Williamsburg Lutheran church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Anna (Wicker) Burkhart Hatch; the following children: Mrs. Anna Butterbaugh and Mrs. Martha Miller of Altoona, Mrs. Edna Rubinol and Mrs. Lena Stone of Mount Union, Mrs. Ellie Shade of Rosemead, Calif., Bucky of Bellefont, Betty of Huntingdon, Shirley of Newry and James Hatch; five step-children, Chester and Robert Burkhart, Mrs. Mary Eyers, Shirley and Mrs. Ella Mae Manning, all of Altoona; 20 grand-children and three brothers, Barney of Altoona and Mark and Paul of Williamsburg.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Lafferty funeral home, Altoona, in charge of the Rev. Edwin M. Clapper. Interment in Rose Hill cemetery, Altoona. Friends may call at the funeral home.
