A native of Florida, he is survived by his wife, the former Thelma Pardue of the Tioga area; four brothers, Percy and M.D. Stokes, both of Tampa, Fla., Boyd Stokes and Lee Stokes, both of South Carolina; six sisters, Mrs. Eula Mack of Maryland, Mrs. Olivia Boyce of Minnesota; Mrs. Vera Olivier, Mrs. Fannie Gilbert, and Mrs. Lois Helms, all of South Carolina, and Mrs. Callie Moquin of Tampa, Fla.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Hixson Bros. Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park.
