Shirley was known for her kind heart and loving character, always going above and beyond to take care of her family. She was her family's favorite cook, enjoyed family meals, and enjoyed visiting with her former classmates at their monthly luncheons. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and always enjoyed a game of pitch or Phase 10 with her family. Shirley loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Center Hill Church of Christ.
Shirley is survived by her three children: Sharlene (Scott) Giles, Janet (Marty) Blankenship, and Randy Blanton; and her step-children: Denis Redwine of Houston, TX, and Janis Holder of Jonesboro. She is also survived by her sisters Betty Yearry and Carolyn (Larrell) Austin, sister-in-law Wanda Jackson, and her very dear friend LaVoy Sanders.
In addition, she is survived by her grandchildren, step-grandchildren, and their families: Kristin (Chris) Patterson, Jagger Moss, and Marley; Jacob (Hannah) Giles, Lizzy, and Will; Laura (Aaron) Meyer and Quinley; Hunter Blanton; Lexie Blanton; Brad (Jessica) Blankenship, Brooklyn, and Jakson; Chris (Wendy) Blankenship and Gage; Amy Redwine and Audrey; Kelley (Shawn) Hermann and Naomi; Alan Holder; and Kerie (Jeramy) Martin, Camden, and Lillah.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, brother Ray Jackson, brother-in-law Leo Yearry, and husband Max Redwine.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Phillips Funeral home. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home with burial to follow at Linwood Cemetery.
