He graduated from Marietta High School and the University of Georgia. After graduation, he served with Campus Crusade for Christ for seven years. During that time, he met his wife, Helen Vander Maten. They were married August 20th, 1976 and recently celebrated their 46th anniversary. He served the State of Georgia as a probation officer for 25 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Wanell Shaw; sister, Angie and brother-in-law, Bill Hall; and brother, Howie Shaw. Surviving are his wife, Helen; sons, Daniel Shaw and Michael Shaw; daughter, Julie Audia and son-in-law, Dan Audia; five grandchildren, Jonathan, Hannah, Matthew, Amy, and Natalie Audia; and brother, Randy Shaw and his wife, Belinda.
