Melbourne, FL (formerly of Gilford, MI) - Frank E. Spencer passed away peacefully
November 23, 2020 at Wuesthoff Brevard Hospice House.
He was born August 18th, 1929 in Gilford Township, MI, the son of Frank P. and
Hazel (Short) Spencer.
Frank attended the Hobart School in the Gilford area.
He served with the U.S. Army in the Korean War as a Sergeant First Class from 1951 to 1953.
After being honorably discharged in April of 1953, he met and married
Ruth Ann Jaynes of Caro, MI on June 12, 1954. They celebrated 66 years of marriage in June.
Frank worked for a short time at General Motors Corporation after leaving the military. In 1955, he and Ruth Ann purchased a dairy farm in the Deford, MI area where they lived for several years. After selling the farm he purchased and operated a full-service gas station/repair shop in Cass City, MI.
In addition to his parents, Frank was predeceased by his sisters, Delores Spencer & Evelyn Richards and his brothers, Allen Spencer, Donald Spencer, Gerald Spencer, & Carl Spencer. His half-sisters, Iva Thayer, Leona Thayer & Mattie Riedel and half-brother Clarence Spencer.
Surviving in addition to his wife Ruth Ann (Jaynes) Spencer are his children,

14 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren
A service of remembrance will be held at 10:30am Friday, November 27 at
Davis-Seawinds Funeral Home, 560 Montreal Ave, Melbourne, FL 32935.
Interment will be at the Gilford Township Cemetery at a later date.
