David Redfield, youngest and probably only surviving child of Abraham Redfield and Phebe Beach, b. Jan. 15, 1842 in Bates County, MO. He d. Sept. 17, 1919 in Ardmore, OK, age 77.

On Sept. 12, 1866 at Bates County, MO, David m. 1) Lucy E. Requa (married by Lucy's missionary uncle, Rev. William Comb Requa), dau. of George Requa and Mary Harmon Austin, b. July 29, 1844 at Bates County, MO. She d. at Ardmore, OK on Apr. 20, 1907, age 62. Only two children are known of the marriage; son Orrin M. Redfield and dau. Florence (Redfield) Broadwell.

Both David and Lucy's parents were members of the original missionary family to the Osage Indians at Union Mission (1820-1837) located at present-day Mayes County, OK.

Following wife Lucy's death, David m. 2) before 1910 Miss Isabelle Haskins, b. Sept. 14, 1855 in Kansas, the only dau./ of Rev. Benjamin Franklin Haskins and Frances R. Abraham, who survived him, remained his widow, and d. in Ardmore, OK May 16, 1950 (g.s.) There were no children of this second marriage.
