Jerry Neal Cox, 75 of Corona, CA, passed away Jan. 28, 2008, in Loma Linda Medical Center, Loma Linda, CA, of a massive heart attack. He was born Sept. 16, 1932, to Neal Albert Cox and Goldie Steurgeon Cox in Argos, IN.
He attended school there, moved with his parents to Rover, MO, where he graduated from Thomasville High School with the class of 1950.
On June 16, 1951, he was married to Verna Frances House at Rover, MO.
He worked as an aerospace machinist for 35 years.
He is survived by his wife, Verna 'Frances' Cox, Corona, CA; daughters, Diane and Carl Sihock of Corona, CA; Donna and Carlos Nino of Riverside, CA; son, Dennis and Jonetta Cox of Orange, CA; one sister, Norma Jean Metzger of West Plains, MO; two brothers, John Cox of Warsaw, IN; Louis Cox of Cottonwood, AZ; one sister-in-law, Ruby Baty of Phoenix, AZ.
He was preceded in death by his son, Danny Cox; his parents, Neal and Goldie Cox; his in-laws, Silas and Mattie House; one sister-in-law, Berniece Swindell; and one brother-in-law, Gene House.
Forest Lawn Mortuary conducted graveside services Feb. 1, 2008 at Desert Memorial Park, Cathedral City, CA, where he was laid to rest beside his son, Danny, who was killed in a car accident in 1993, at age 27.
