Beulah Mae (Teaney) Box was born on December 17th, 1938 in Tahlequah, OK, the daughter of Frank and Bessie (Smithson) Teaney. The family lived in Bald Hill area and it was here that Beulah went to school with her four brothers and half-sister, Carl, Eddie, George, Roy J. and Marie. She also had three half-brothers, Fred, William and O'Dell. She met and married Harve Ross Ragland, but he passed away young in life. On February 18th, 1975, she married Bride Franklin Box Jr. in of Keys, OK. She was first and foremost a loving wife to Frank and a wonderful mother to her children, Ruby Lee, Patricia, Harvey, Troy, and Joyce. She spent her days caring for her family, cooking for her family and trying new recipes on them, quilting, sewing, watching TV and movies, shopping, visiting and checking up on her loved ones, going out to eat and sharing cuddles with her favorite furry companion "Snowflake". She was always out helping her husband to cut wood for the family's wood business that many of us remember in Keys for years. She always had a sweet smile and a kind word to say. She loved to talk about her favorite people in the world, her beloved grandchildren. She felt they could do no wrong! She was never too busy to give well thought out advice, or help in any way she could. She loved to rock her grandbabies on her lap and tell them a story. Her husband died and she moved in with her daughter, but never tired of talking to the family, keeping them close and letting them know the extent of her love. Beulah passed from this life on November 11th, 2022 in Locust Grove. She was 83 years old and will be greatly missed.
She has gone home to join her daughter Ruby Lee Ragland, grandparents, her mother and father, 2 husbands Frank Box and Harve Ragland, her four brothers, Carl Teaney, Eddie Teaney, George Teaney, Roy J. She lives on in her grandchildren, Kandy Luper, Kimberly Tomlin, James Sitsler, Jesse Randall, Corey Ragland, Tina Randall and John Randall. Her great grandchildren include Dylan Luper, Makayla Luper, Ally Tomlin, Bradley Tomlin, Ella Halbert, Liam Landrum, Jayden Randall, Ezrick Randall, and Scarlett Sitsler. There is one great great grandson, Weston Lewis, also a nephew, Roy Teaney and a niece, Carol Buttery. She also leaves many cousins and a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.
Funeral services for Beulah Mae Teany-Box will be held on Wednesday, November 16th, 2022 at 2:00 Pm at Reed-Culver Chapel with Reverend David Wiens officiating. Her family will receive visitors on Tuesday, November 15th, 2022 at Reed-Culver Funeral home beginning at 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM. She will be laid to rest at Tahlequah City Cemetery next to Bride Franklin Box Jr., the man she shared her life with.
