Darlene Denham Garner, 85, passed away peacefully at home on November 17, 2021 with her children by her side. She was born in Minerva, Texas on April 20, 1936 and was married to the love of her life, Cletus Garner, for 31 years until his passing in 1984. Together they had 4 children that they loved dearly.

Darlene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church in Pearland. Her greatest loves were her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and her family. She said that when she passed she could not wait to run into the loving arms of Jesus. She loved to travel, work in her garden, go on cruises and watch western movies. She was a huge fan of the Texas Longhorns and Houston Astros. Darlene will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Darlene was preceded in death by her husband Cletus Cordell Garner, parents Samuel Bennett Denham and Cleatis Denham Maples, Brothers Bennett Denham, Barkley Denham, Norman Maples and Kyle Maples.

She is survived by her children Patti Garner Harris and husband Keneth, Vicki Garner Edwards and husband Rodney, Timothy Cordell Garner and wife Debbie and Kerri Garner Keels and husband David.

She is also survived by her grandchildren Keneth Cordell Harris, Justin Harris and wife Mary Ann, Krysten Harris Rice and husband Dale, Shane Edwards Bracken and wife Cortney, Boyce Edwards, Dustin Edwards and wife Allison, Toby Edwards, Jason Zumwalt and wife Candace, Amber Holland and husband David, Jessie Garner Himpele and husband Matt, Taylor West, Christopher Gura, David Keels Jr. and wife Sondra, Karen Keels Hindman and husband Eric, Dillon Keels and Dalton Keels.

In addition, she is survived by 33 great grandchildren, her cat Baby Girl and two sisters, Micki Edge-Obergfell and Kathy Medve.

The family would like to thank Lotus Hospice for taking such good care of her. They would also like to say a special thank you to the many people that showed her so much love by sending cards, calling, visiting and lifting her up in prayer.
