She is preceded in death by late husband Ray Will as well as her daughter, Donna Kominczak Schielack, and infant son, Stanley Kominczak. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Lori Jan Kominczak McBrayer and Scott McBrayer, son in law, Bruce Schielack. Dorothy Jean was born and raised in the Houston Heights. She graduated from Reagan High School in 1946 where she was a member of the volleyball team. She grew up attending West 14th Avenue Baptist Church. She later became a secretary, but her most important job was being a wife and mother.

She was a proud Houstonian and enjoyed discussing Houston Heights history. Her proudest moment for her city was cheering for her Houston Astros. For anyone who knew Dorothy, they knew she watched every Astros game, no matter the time, in her Jose Altuve jersey while taking score by hand. Dorothy was also an avid gardener and enjoyed doing puzzles in her spare time.

For the last five years, she lived at Atria Cinco Ranch in Katy, Texas. She enjoyed her time with friends listening to music in the evenings. Her family can't thank Atria enough for time Dorothy had under their amazing care.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation and services on November 15, 2022 at 10:00am at Woodlawn Funeral Home located at 1101 Antoine Drive, Houston Texas 77055. In lieu of flowers, her family asks for gracious donations to the March of Dimes in honor of Dorothy and her son, Stanley.
