Born in Magnolia, NC on March 22, 1916, she was a daughter of the late Jacob and Rachel Chesnutt and was also preceded in death by her children, Barbara Ann Powell and Gerald Thomas Trent. Sarah was also preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.
She was a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church and worked at Montgomery Ward.
