From The Council Bluffs Daily Nonpareil (Council Bluffs, Iowa) 14 Mar 1888 -
Minnie, wife of John P. Allen, died at her home in this city, at 6 o'clock yesterday morning, after a brief illness. It is but just four weeks ago to-day since she was united in marriage to Mr. Allen and the happy couple were greatly attached to each other. Both herself and husband were members of the Salvation army and quite enthusiastic workers in the cause. The remains will be interred at Walnut Hill Cemetery.
