Retired Detective Ronald J. Kyle Sr. received his commission on May 7, 1962, and entered the Saint Louis Police Academy. Detective Kyle retired from the Juvenile Division on August 14, 1989. Detective Kyle served 27 years, 3 months, and 7 days of faithful and dedicated service to the department.

Ronald Joseph Kyle Sr. of Williamsville, Missouri, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William and Edna (nee Hertzy) Kyle was born on January 24, 1938, in St. Louis, Missouri, and passed away on November 4, 2022, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Hospital in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, at the age of 84.
Ronald worked in Law Enforcement as a Police Officer and Detective for the St. Louis Police department until his retirement. He also spent time around the Lake Wappapello area and was a member of The Knights Of Columbus 442, (4th degree) and the Eagles Lodge 4066.

Ronald is survived by two sons, Ronald Kyle, Jr. of Williamsville, Missouri, and Kevin Kyle of Humansville, Missouri: one sister, Bonnie Sue (Billy) Whitt of Hope Arkansas. A host of family and friends also survive.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Pamela Jean Krazer, and one sister, Mildred Shelton.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Puxico, Missouri, with Pastor Charles Robertson of Bloomfield, Missouri, officiating.
Interment will follow at the Presbyterian Methodist Cemetery in Festus, Missouri, with Watkins and Sons of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
