The daughter of Walter C. Stillinger and Edith Pearl Bell Stillinger, she was born Nov. 8, 1916, in Litchfield, Neb. She married Stanley J. Hansen on Aug. 24, 1940, in Minden, Neb.
Mrs. Hansen moved to Nederland in 1949 and to Boulder in 1955.
She graduated from high school in St. Edward, Neb., and worked for several years with Montgomery Ward and the Boulder County Clerk's Office.
She enjoyed gardening, showing dogs and shopping.
"Mary loved the time she spent with her friends and family," the family said. "Her kitty Annie was her constant companion and her pride and joy. She had a green thumb and a wonderful touch with flowers."
Survivors include her husband, of Boulder; one daughter, Holly A. Hansen, of Cheyenne, Wyo.; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Cecil Stillinger, Wesley Stillinger and Clyde Stillinger; and two sisters, Alice Nelson and Edith Lantz.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at Crist Mortuary Chapel, 3395 Penrose Place, Boulder.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel. The Rev. Rodger McDaniel, of Cheyenne, will officiate. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, 3016 Kalmia Ave., Boulder.
