Cecil "Woodrow" Summers was born on April 20, 1916 in Springfield, Robertson County, Tennessee, the son of Alice (Honeycutt) (Summers) Neal (1897–1986) and her 1st husband Joe J Summers (1894–1932).
He was married on September 13, 1941 in Gallatin, Sumner County to Marion "Ruth" Work (1916–2010), the daughter of J M Work.
Woodrow was 79 years old and married when he died on January 26, 1996.
Survivors included his widow Mrs Ruth Summers, stepfather James Neal, four children, ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, sister Ida Ballanfant and brother Richard Summers.
Funeral Services were held on January 29th at the chapel of West Harpeth Funeral Home, and burial was in Harpeth Hills Memorial Gardens.
