Clint Halbert Harris, 88, passed away on Friday, February 8, 2008 at the Virginia Veterans Care Center. He was born May 22, 1919 in Centerville, Tennessee. He was a veteran of World War II and served for four years in the United States Army. He was a retired meat cutter from the Green Market in Salem. Mr. Harris was a member of First United Methodist Church in Salem. He was predeceased by special friend, May Atherton. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Fred Corbett; grandsons, Jason Corbett and wife, Christy, Roanoke, SFC Brian Corbett and wife, Christy, Salt Lake City, Utah; great-grandchildren, Jaylin, Ethan, and Evie; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Naomi, Columbia, Tenn., Donald and Barbara, Portland, Tenn.; sisters, Era Mae, Dickson, Tenn., and Virginia Hill, Humboldt, Tenn. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 13, at Lotz Salem Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Pickle officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Arrangements by Lotz Funeral Home in Salem.
