Willie Duchesne was known as a friend and family man;
He met Miss Mackie and asked for her hand.
For sixty-five years they walked side by side
And reared a family where love did abide.
His family grew with Jeff, then Jeanie, his wife;
Their grandsons, Joshua and Jordi, brought joy to his life.
Then came great-grandson, Jace as a part
Of the family he loved with all of his heart.
Time spent with the boys was always fun;
Whether hunting, fishing, or hitting a homerun.
Willie was seen as a faithful man,
Who served his country in the military and protected our land.
He provided for his family as a hard-working man;
His loyalty to wife and family will always stand.
Willie was faithful in worship to God in his local church home;
Loving Bible study, preaching, and a great gospel song.
As a man of character Willie was seen to be
A quiet, gentle man who strived to live peacefully.
Saying goodbye to Willie is hard, but part of God's plan;
Until we meet again in Heaven to be united once again.
A special granddaughter Ashlee, who at birth was taken home
And his beloved grandson Joshua will both welcome him near the throne.
