Julie Caquelin, 63, died on July 29, 2017, at Trinity Regional Medical Center. Visitation and memorial services at Gunderson Funeral Chapel.

Julie Ann Caquelin was born on April 1, 1954 in Fort Dodge. She graduated from Webster City High School in 1972. She joined the Iowa Air Guard and was the first woman to do so.

Julie married Bruce Caquelin. They later divorced.

Julie received her teaching degree. She lived in Webster City, Alta, and later moved to Bode where they farmed her grandparents' farm. She also lived in Humboldt and Fort Dodge.

Surviving are her sons, Matthew of Fort Dodge, Jason (Kris) of Longmont, Colorado, and Jeff (Candi) of Rolla, Missouri; six granddaughters, Akaela, Laynee, Teagan, Sydney, Taryn, and Brooke; her mother Norma (Darvin) Hacker of Decorah, Iowa; and her siblings Eric Anderson of Duncombe, Betsy Imhoff of Decorah, Iowa, and Barbara Bacon of DePere, Wisconsin.

Julie was preceded in death by her father Lawrence, and her brother-in-law Rod Bacon.
