Jack was a loving and caring father and husband. Jack and Pauline were married for seventy years. He was the first FFA president at Lincoln Public Schools. He excelled in many sports and coached baseball for many years. Jack was a skilled craftsman and mason. Jack and Pauline built the house they lived in. Jack always had time for others. He taught his boys multiple skills and to always show up for work, do your best, and treat everyone with respect.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Alfred and Arthur Batson, and one sister, Emma Jean Hutchcraft. Survivors include his wife, Pauline Batson, four sons, Jack Batson Jr., of Bentonville, Arkansas, Dale Batson of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Tommy and wife Linda Batson of Lincoln, Arkansas, Mickey Batson of Lavaca, Arkansas, one brother Clifford Batson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, one sister Mary Bullard of Round Rock, Texas, eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and multiple nephews and nieces.
Funeral Service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, June 1st, 2019, at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. Burial will be in the Lincoln Cemetery in Lincoln, Arkansas. Online guest book, www.luginbuel.com.
