Lera Mae Klein was born to Thomas Crockett Boren and Amy Estella Wilson Boren Feb. 22, 1914, in Wise County. She was married to D.V. "Doc" Klein for 53 years and together they raised four children. Lera was a lifelong resident of the Springtown area and had resided at the Palm House in Fort Worth for the last five years. She was a member of the Springtown Church of Christ.
Survivors include brother, T.C. Boren and wife, Mary; son, D.V. Klein; daughter, Eva Lee Pyle and husband, Dwight, Susie Stewart; grandchildren, Marty Pyle, Angela Bollman, Ned Pyle, Shawn Stewart; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 25, at White's Funeral Home Chapel, with burial at Springtown Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, May 24, at White's Funeral Home.
