DEATH of Mrs. J. B. Simonson

Mrs. Catherine Simonson, beloved wife of J. B. Simonson, died at the Simonson home, five miles northwest of town, Tuesday morning, March 29, at the age of 67 years.
Catherine Aldrich was born April 9, 1837, in Armada, McComb County, Michigan, and was united in marriage to J. B. Simonson December 3, 1854. Eight children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Simonson, four of whom survive her--Mrs. W. W. Donaldson, of Kingman; George, Robert and Alvin Simonson of this place.
Deceased was a faithful and consistent member of the Presbyterian Church, having joined that church at Saginaw, Michigan in 1866, and has been a member of the Cunningham Presbyterian church since its organization.
Mrs. Simonson has been a resident of Kansas for more than thirty years, coming with her husband in 1872 and locating in Republic County, removing to Kingman County in 1884.
Deceased leaves a husband and four children and a large circle of friends and relatives to mourn her loss.
The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Johnson, assisted by Revs. Purcell and McLain, Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock. A large concourse of people followed the remains to the Shelman cemetery, where she was laid to rest.
