Francis M Denham, went by the name Frank. He was born to Squire Turner Denham and Hetty Campbell. Hetty was also called Hester and Hettie. They lived in the Somerset area. Frank was the youngest of eleven children. As a young man in the Civil War, he fought with more than one unit. He was in Co G, KY 32 Reg. Inf, Union for nine months in 1863. He was also in the 50th KY infantry, Co I. In 1864 he was transferred to the 7th KY Cavalry.
On May 26, 1864 he married Bethesda Massey (1847-1916) near Elihu, KY. They had six children.
Frank died on Dec 11, 1912. Cause was unknown. He did have a few health issues. His death certificate said he was buried at Goff Graveyard. on Dec 13, 1912. His brother Archibald is also buried here.
He had a hard life, full of troubled times.
