Mary Elizabeth Sullivan Rivenbark, 69, passed away Saturday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Mrs. Rivenbark was born in Duplin County and was the daughter of the late John Carl Sullivan Sr. and Cora Lee Turner Sullivan. Mrs. Rivenbark attended Brogden Chapel Church.

A funeral service will be held Monday evening at 7 at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Sherwood Lassiter officiating. Internment will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Park. Grandson will serve as pallbearer.

Mrs. Rivenbark is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth King and husband, Donnie of Goldsboro, Vernell Lipscomb and husband, Steve of Goldsboro, Joyce McHale and husband, Kevin of Pikeville, Wanda Heath of Goldsboro, Cindy Creech and husband, J.W. of Faison, and Susan Gala and husband, Tony of Goldsboro; her sons, Robert Perry and wife, Teresa of Pikeville, and Joseph Rivenbark and wife, Shannan of Goldsboro; her sisters, Thelma Mae Forrest of Greenville, Ruby Cocker of Mount Olive and Ada Sullivan of Rockville, Md.; 26 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, John Carl Sullivan Jr.
