Colorado Penitentiary prisoner # 15604, was one of three hanged on the gallows that day.
John Walker, Andrew Halliday and Claude Ray were know as the Manter KS Bank Bandits.
Robbing the Manter KS bank of $4000, Walker, Ray and Halliday fled into Colorado where they killed
C.A. Hickman, a deputy sheriff at Eads CO. They were tried, convicted and sentenced hang.
The first Triple execution in thirty years.
Ray is buried in Lakeside cemetery in Canon City, CO and Halliday is buried in Carterville Cemetery in Carterville MO.
John Logan Walker is buried in Mount Hope cemetery in Joplin Missouri under the name John Logan Thomas with no headstone.
