She was the daughter of the late John William and Anna Mary Mallory Parkinson.
Carolyn was a registered nurse and taught second year nursing for many years. She loved helping people anyway she could. She faithfully attended Biltmore Baptist Church as well as Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. She was always willing to give of her time to Samaritan's Purse and also supported other missions. She found great joy with her sewing group.
Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters; Elizabeth Ann Pohl (James) and JoAnna Lee Zelechowski (Michael); seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy M. Consolloy and her beloved dog Willie.
The family would like to express many thanks to those providing excellent care and help at Advent Oncology, Four Seasons Health Care, Four Seasons Hospice, Blueridge Fire Department and many friends and neighbors.
A celebration of life service will be held Saturday October 01, 2022, at three o'clock in the afternoon at East Flat Rock First Baptist Church fellowship hall with the Reverend Ronnie Owen officiating.
