"Maíz" was a Salinan born in an unspecified seaside ranchería. She was the wife of Salinan neophyte Alzeario María (no surname). She was a widow and about 25 years old when she assumed her Christian name Prisca María upon her baptism at Mission San Antonio de Padua January 29, 1782 (SAP Baptism 00787). She married (2) Salinan neophyte widower Diego "Ciuaych" Cruzado at Mission San Antonio August 13, 1783 (SAP Marriage 00171). She died at Mission San Antonio and was buried in the mission cemetery December 29, 1785 (SAP Death 00416).
