Mrs. Anne Carol Lewis Nuttall, 93, wife of Marvin Nuttall and a resident of Melfa, VA, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital. Born August 31, 1929 in Williamsburg, VA, she was the daughter of the late William Avery Lewis and Lena Mae Graham Lewis. Anne graduated from Onancock High School, class of 1946, and attained a bachelor's degree in business education from Radford University. For many years, she worked as the finance and administration manager for Accomack County Department of Social Services. Raised in a Christian home, Anne's faith remained a constant throughout her life. She was a devoted member of Melfa United Methodist Church, having attended service as recently as the Sunday before her passing. She was a past member of the Woman's Club of Accomack County and the Eastern Shore of Virginia Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution.

In addition to her parents, Anne was predeceased by her son, Mark Hopkins; brother, Stephen Lewis; and granddaughter, Sarah Gardner Hopkins.

Funeral services will be conducted from the graveside at the Fairview Lawn Cemetery on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 2:00 p.m., with The Reverend Barbara Parker officiating.
